Washington Wizards Sign Free Agent Guard

After a strong performance for the Washington Wizards' G League squad last season, free agent guard Jordan Goodwin has earned himself a trip to training camp with the big club this month.

Goodwin has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Wizards, and will try to win the team's final two-way contract for the season. If he doesn't land the spot, he would likely be heading back to the Capital City Go-Go in the G League.

Last season with the Go-Go, the 6'3" shooting guard averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He stepped it up big-time in the G League playoffs, averaging 30 points with 8 assists in two games.

The 23-year-old will need to show dramatic improvement in his outside shot, however. He hit on only 30% of his 3-point attempts last season with the Go-Go, something that will definitely need to be better if he's to make the team out of camp.

Goodwin was undrafted in 2021 out of Saint Louis after a 4-year college career.
