Knicks Rising Talent In Walking Boot At Knicks Practice

It's not what you want to see if you're a New York Knicks fan. An important young player in a walking boot on just the second day of practice. But for second-year shooting guard Quentin Grimes, the news doesn't seem too ominous at this point.

According to Knicks Insider Ian Begley, Grimes is in a walking boot due to left foot soreness. It is currently considered a minor ailment, though he did not practice on Day 2 of camp.

Interestingly enough, the sight of Grimes in the boot was spotted by two social media sleuths in a team practice video. A video that the Knicks have since deleted from Twitter. Are they trying to hide something?

It was only yesterday that we learned that head coach Tom Thibodeau has seemingly decided already that Grimes will not be a starter this season, and he will instead turn to a veteran in the shooting guard spot.

Grimes was one of the names that emerged as untouchable in the Knicks' failed trade talks with the Utah Jazz for Donovan Mitchell.
