Rudy Gobert Opens Up About Ex-Teammate Donovan Mitchell

The Utah Jazz have made major changes to their roster as both Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have been traded by the basketball club this summer. While it wasn't always the best of relationships, Gobert and Mitchell appeared to work well together, however couldn't get over the hump for the franchise.

The two stars had a bit of a rocky road at times in Utah, but Gobert recently mentioned to Eurohoops, it's all love for Mitchell as he had nothing but great things to say:

I think he has a bright future. He's one of the best young players in his position. He's going to keep getting better. I think it's a great opportunity for him to just get to a new system, a new team, and be able to show what he can do. (On the trades...)That's what (CEO of basketball operations) Danny Ainge decided to do. Sometimes you always have to explore all different options. That's what they did. Time will tell if it was good or not. I think he definitely did a great job in getting as many assets as possible.

Gobert will now try to share the paint with Karl-Anthony Tows in Minnesota, meanwhile Mitchell is ready to team up with Darius Garland in the back court of Cleveland to try and lead their young core to the promised land with the Cavaliers.

Utah on the other hand? They appear to be tanking for the next one....
