Trae Young With Extremely Rare Type Of Triple-Double

It's not exactly what NBA players have in mind when they go off for a triple-double. Along with his 14 points and 10 assists, Trae Young was also forced by the Toronto Raptors into 10 turnovers, making for a very rare—and unwelcome—triple-double.

Young was hounded by Scottie Barnes (who started at the point for the Toronto Raptors), OG Anunoby (who had six steals) and the rest of the Raptors' defense all night long. The Raptors' Vision 6'9" team made it exceptionally difficult for the 6'1" Young.

Young's 10 turnovers, in fact, were twice as many as he had recorded in his previous four games combined.

The Raptors' defense was all over the court, challenging every Atlanta shot, coming up with a number of deflections, and forcing 18 turnovers in all. Meanwhile, the Hawks' defense had an atrocious night of their own, as the Raptors ran the Hawks out of Scotiabank Arena with a 139-109 win.

Making the Raptors' defensive performance even more incredible is the fact that Young was coming off three straight 35+ point games, including 42 in the Hawks' last contest.
