Bulls Former Lottery Pick Could Be Traded Before Deadline

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White is a possible trade candidate prior to the February trade deadline, according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

White has seen his role dwindle this 2022-23 season, his fourth year in the league.

On the season, the 7th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft has appeared in just half of Chicago's 14 games and is averaging a career-low 8.1 points per game. He hasn't seen the floor in November.

White had a promising rookie campaign, where he averaged 13.2 points and made the All-Rookie Second Team.

He followed that up with a solid sophomore campaign, where he averaged 15.1 points per game while starting 54 of 69 games for the Bulls.

The 6-foot-4 guard still turned in 12.7 points in nearly 28 minutes throughout his third year. But his fourth season is off to a discouraging start, especially considering the Bulls are without starting point guard Lonzo Ball.

With his depleted role under head coach Billy Donovan's rotation, it might be best for White to get a change in scenery. He is still just 22 years old and offers great upside as a microwave scorer off the bench.
