Lakers Forward Out Friday Vs. Detroit

Los Angeles Lakers forward Juan Toscano-Anderson will be out Friday vs. the Detroit Pistons due to mid-back soreness, according to Spectrum SportsNet's Mike Trudell.

Toscano-Anderson, who joined LA this past offseason after winning a championship with Golden State last year, previously missed time this season due to an ankle injury and will be sidelined again with a back injury.

The 29-year-old forward is looking to be more productive upon his return to the Lakers lineup. He has averaged a lowly 2.6 PPG, two rebounds, and 0.5 assists so far in his 2022-23 campaign.

Los Angeles (3-10), are trying to turn their season around and will be looking to add to their one-game win streak against the Pistons tonight after defeating the Brooklyn Nets' 116-103 last Sunday.
