Rudy Gobert Blasts Timberwolves Fans: "Just Stay Home!"

The Minnesota Timberwolves have won four straight games to finally get above the .500 mark this season, at 9-8. But that hasn't stopped Rudy Gobert from trashing fans who are coming out to Target Center and booing the home side.

The T-Wolves used a big 3rd quarter and then held on in the 4th to defeat the Miami Heat Monday night 105-101. But the boo-birds were out at times, and Gobert doesn't like it.

“I just don’t appreciate people that come in and boo your team," said the defensive stalwart. "When you’re a fan, you gotta support your team in the tough or the good moments... If you're not going to support us in the tough moments, just stay home."

Gobert didn't have his best game in a Minnesota uniform, playing 31 minutes and not taking a single shot from the floor (i.e. 0-for-0), while grabbing 9 rebounds and blocking two shots.

But is the booing simply due to fans having such high expectations for this group?

"I don't care," replied Gobert. "I've never experienced that before. In Utah... in 9 years... I don't even remember probably a few times getting booed."

T-Wolves backcourt star Anthony Edwards felt the same as Gobert about the negative fan reaction:

"Yeah I love the crowd, man. Tell them, ‘Hey y’all, if y’all listening to this, keep coming, showing us love, stop booing us. We’re going to give you everything we got, man. We trying.”
