Sixers Suffer Another Bad Injury Blow To Backcourt

With James Harden already out for several weeks, this news is the last thing the Philadelphia 76ers needed to hear. Most Improved Player candidate Tyrese Maxey will miss up to four weeks with a foot injury.

NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Maxey could miss 3-to-4 weeks with a small fracture in his left foot.

The extent of the injury was determined by an MRI after Maxey suffered the injury during Friday night's 110-102 win over the Milwaukee Bucks and sat out the second half.

The 22-year-old rising star landed awkwardly on the foot while being fouled in transition near the end of the first half. It was a half in which he put up an astounding 24 points and 5 assists, while shooting 9 for 12 from the field.

Maxey is a candidate for Most Improved Player this season, averaging 22.9 points and 4.4. assists while shooting 42.2% from 3-point range.

The Sixers will now have to make do without Maxey and Harden until The Beard gets back in early December.
