Thunder Lose Big Man To Broken Finger

Now in his 4th season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the floor-spacing big man Mike Muscala will be out at least two weeks with a broken finger.

The injury occurred during Monday night's loss to the New York Knicks.

NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that it's a fractured left pinky finger, and that Moose will be re-evaluated after 14 days. That'll take him out of the lineup for at least seven games, possibly more.

The 9-year veteran re-signed with OKC on a two-year, $7M contract this summer after shooting a career-high 42.9% from behind the arc last season. His marksmanship is off this year, however, as he's down to 31.8% from long distance. Overall, he's averaging 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game.

Muscala's absence could open up more minutes for the likes of other Thunder big men Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Jaylin Williams and Darius Bazley.
