Anthony Davis To Miss Significant Time For Lakers

Stop us if you've heard this one before: The Los Angeles Lakers will be without superstar Anthony Davis for an indefinite period after sustaining a foot injury.

MLB Insider Shams Charania first tweeted that Davis will miss at least a month, but then updated it minutes later to say it'll be an "indefinite absence." The injury came on Friday night in the Lakers' win over the Denver Nuggets.

Davis has been having one of the greatest seasons of his illustrious career, averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks, while shooting 59% from the field.

It's a brutal blow for the Lakers, who are currently at 12-16, in 12th spot in the Western Conference.

More details on this developing story as they emerge.
