Brooklyn Nets' Kyrie Irving to Miss Tuesday's Game Against San Antonio Spurs

The Brooklyn Nets will be short on star power for their Tuesday night matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. Kyrie Irving has been declared out with calf soreness.

Irving will join Kevin Durant as Nets stars unavailable for tonight's game. Durant leads the team in scoring with 29.7 points per game, and Irving is next up behind him with 25.6.

Durant is expected to miss as much as a month with a knee sprain, so the Nets better hope Irving's injury doesn't linger. At 27-15, they're currently second in the Eastern Conference, but a rough few weeks could cost them: dropping into the play-in tournament would be a nightmare, and they're only 4.5 games ahead of current seventh seed the Miami Heat.

After tonight's game against the Spurs, the Nets will continue their road trip for a matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
