Chicago Bulls Center Nikola Vucevic Lights Up Golden State Warriors

The Chicago Bulls topped the Golden State Warriors 132-118 on Sunday night thanks to a surprising performance from big man Nikola Vucevic. The 13th-year center thoroughly dominated, totalling 43 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. Vuvevic hit 18 of his 31 field goal attempts and five of 10 from three. The 43 points tied a career-high and were his most in a game since a win against the Orlando Magic on February 5th, 2021.

The win pushed the Bulls to 20-24, good for fourth in the Atlantic Divison and 10th in the Eastern Conference. Depending on the health of Demar DeRozan and Zach Levine, the Bulls could have a chance at the play-in tournament. As for the Warriors, they fall to a troubling 21-22, which puts them third in the Atlantic Division and eighth in the Western Conference. The 2021-22 NBA Champions are running out of time to position themselves for a credible title defense this postseason.

Looking ahead, the Bulls will travel to France to face the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Paris Game 2023. It will mark the Bulls' first game in Paris in 25 years and the first NBA game in Europe since 2020.
