Cleveland Cavaliers' Evan Mobley Erupts for Career High in Win Over Milwaukee Bucks

The Cleveland Cavaliers triumphed over a depleted Milwaukee Bucks team on Saturday, nabbing a 114-102 win thanks to a transcendent game from forward Evan Mobley. The third overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft notched a career-high 38 points while hitting a ruthlessly efficient 19 of his 27 field goal attempts.

Mobley feasted on a Bucks team that was without two-time MVP forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, notching nine rebounds and three assists in addition to his 38 points. The promising young star's previous career-high was a mere 30 points.

Mobley has improved steadily in his second year. His scoring opportunities have declined slightly since the arrival of superstar guard Donovan Mitchell, but he has bettered his efficiency marks across the board. He's hitting on a more than respectable .565 of his field goal attempts for 15.1 points per game while snatching 8.9 rebounds per game. Already a solid and valuable supporting player, Mobley could evolve the Cavaliers into a powerhouse if he eventually develops into a star.

The Cavaliers are 29-19 and fifth in the Eastern Conference. They'll visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
