Golden State Warriors Clear Stars for Sunday Return Against Brooklyn Nets

The Golden State Warriors snuck out a 120-114 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday despite absences from Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. Thankfully, their stars will be back in the fold for Sunday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.

According to the NBA's Injury Report, all four have been cleared to play later today.

The Warriors elected to rest many of their starters on Friday at the end of a long five-game road trip that included stops in San Antonio, Chicago, Washington, Boston, and Cleveland. The Warriors had an especially taxing Thursday night, losing 121-118 in overtime to the Celtics. Despite all but conceding the game, the Warriors stole a win Friday thanks to solid games from Jordan Poole (32 points, 10-23 shooting) and Ty Jerome (22 points, 9-13 shooting).

The Warriors will open a three-game homestand against the Nets tonight, who will be without Kevin Durant for a sixth straight game. At 23-23, the Warriors find themselves sixth in the Western Conference standings. They'll have a chance to improve their seeding and put some distance between themselves and the dreaded play-in tournament in the coming weeks.
