Miami Heat Big Man In Trouble For Incident With Coach

If there's one thing you don't want to do if you're a Miami Heat player, it's to get into a dispute with head coach Erik Spoelstra. Tuesday night, center Dewayne Dedmon did so, and wound up tossing a massage gun onto the court—in the middle of play.

No doubt there'll be some discipline coming for Dedmon after the incident. Dedmon stormed off the court after the disagreement with Spo and assistant coach Caron Butler. The big man then swatted at the massage gun and sent it flying into the middle of the court as play was continuing. He was ejected and will now face the NBA's ire, if not the Heat's.

Dedmon has fallen out of the rotation as the backup to center Bam Adebayo, with Orlando Robinson, on a two-way contract, picking up the bulk of the reserve minutes at the 'five'. Dedmon, in fact, has only played in 3 of the last four games, averaging about seven minutes per contest. He sat out six consecutive games in December.

The 33-year-old 7-footer is averaging 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds in 11.7 minutes/game.
