NBA Rumors: Insider Links Milwaukee Bucks To Veteran Sharpshooter

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking for another shooter, and according to NBA Insider Marc Stein, they've got their sights set on Houston Rockets veteran Eric Gordon. And they've offered a whack of draft capital.

But the Bucks, to this point, haven't capitulated to the Rockets' ask of a first-rounder for Gordon, instead offering four second-round picks.

The 34-year-old Gordon is in his 15th season in the NBA, and has career marks of 16.2 points per game and 37% shooting from long distance. This season, however, he's averaging just 12.3 points and 34.8% from three.

But perhaps his numbers this year can be attributed to his dissatisfaction with playing with the young Rockets, whom he recently described, in so many words, as selfish players. "You got to play for one another. Do what’s right by your teammates. If you do that it’d be more fun," said Gordon, describing what it's been like for him season playing with the likes of Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.

The Rockets are on a 13-game losing streak, and own the worst record in the NBA at 10-36.

Gordon is about 12 years older than the vast majority of his teammates, and clearly would revel in playing for a veteran, stable contender like the Bucks.

But that first-round price tag? That might be scaring off his potential suitors.
