New York Knicks Reveal Injury Timeline for Mitchell Robinson

New York Knicks fans finally have some idea of when they can expect their big man back in action. According to owner James Dolan, Mitchell Robinson will miss at least four weeks with a fractured right thumb.

Mitchell suffered the injury early in the Knicks' January 18th 116-105 loss to the Washington Wizards. He has appeared in 38 games this season, starting 37 while averaging 7.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game with a very solid .674 field goal percentage.

In Mitchell's absence, the Knicks will likely be forced to rely on a platoon system at center. That could mean leaning heavily on Jericho Sims and Isaiah Hartenstein. At 26-23, the Knicks are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference and could have a hard time staying out of the play-in tournament unless they can find a rotation that works for them.

The Knicks will visit the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.
