Phoenix Suns Lose Point Guard For Another Extended Period

The Phoenix Suns are having point guard problems, among other things. While Chris Paul is considered day-to-day, his backup, Cam Payne will now be out at least 14 days with a foot sprain.

Payne has already missed 10 of the last 12 games with his foot problem, and now stands to sit out another seven at least, as he'll be re-evaluated in two weeks.

The 28-year-old is a key player for the Suns, averaging 12.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 37.8% from three-point land. He's started for Paul on 14 occasions this season, but now, they'll have to find another solution.

The Suns are reeling, losers of five straight and eight of the last nine games, to drop to .500 (20-20), and 7th spot in the Western Conference. They've also been without superstar Devin Booker for nine of their last ten games with a groin strain, and power forward Cam Johnson, who's missed all but the first eight games of the season with a torn meniscus.

And then there's Jae Crowder, who has been sitting home all season waiting for the trade that just won't come
