Phoenix Suns Sign High-Flyer Point Guard

The reeling and injury-plagued Phoenix Suns are looking for any kind of help they can get. They've signed dynamic young point guard Saben Lee to a 10-day contract.

Lee was playing in the G League with the Raptors 905 where he was putting up 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals through seven games. He's played bits of the last three seasons in the NBA, including a pair of games with the Philadelphia 76ers this season.

Overall, in 87 career games in the Association, Lee is averaging 5.5 points and 3.3 assists in 16 minutes per game.

At 6'2", this guy can get up for some serious air time, as evidenced by this near-posterization on Nikola Vucevic:

Lee was a second-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and has seen most of his success thus far in the G League, where he's averaged 25.7 points and 6.7 assists in 22 games over the last couple of years. He was even named to the All-NBA G League Second Team last season.

He'll help out the Suns immediately, who have lost 8 of their last 10 games, and have been without Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Cameron Payne, and Landry Shamet in the backcourt.
