7-Year Veteran NBA Guard Arrested

He was just waived last week by the Minnesota Timberwolves. But that's nothing compared to the trouble he's in now. Seventh-year guard Bryn Forbes has been arrested on "family violence" charges.

According to News 4 San Antonio,  “Police said that while Forbes and a woman were out when he became upset at her. After the two drove home, Forbes allegedly hit the woman several times during an argument.”

Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene at around 5:00am to give the woman medical attention, according to the police report. Forbes was then arrested and booked on a misdemeanor family violence charge. He was expected to be booked into the Bexar County Jail.

Forbes is currently a free agent after the Minnesota Timberwolves waived him last Thursday after the flurry of trade deadline activity. He had played 25 games this season, averaging just 3.6 points in about 10 minutes per game.

He's spent the bulk of his career in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs, and has a career mark of 41% shooting from three-point range.
