Paul George had been pushing for Russ to reunite with him in LA; they had been teammates with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Clippers have been in need of a point guard since discarding both John Wall and Reggie Jackson at the trade deadline. Russ should have plenty of playing time alongside PG13 and Kawhi Leonard.
League source confirms to @TheAthletic that Russell Westbrook is headed to LA today to take a physical. Expectation is that he will start with Clippers, but it may not be right away.

Official signing likely won't happen until 48 hours after Utah Jazz waive Westbrook.
Westbrook will be getting his physical in LA today. According to Law Murray, he's expected to start with the Clippers, "but it may not be right away."
Westbrook's turbulent run with the Los Angeles Lakers came to an end when they dealt him to Utah at the deadline in a 3-team, 8 player deal that landed them point guard D'Angelo Russell, guard Malik Beasley and forward Jarred Vanderbilt.
Now Westbrook will get his buyout from the Jazz, and join the Lakers' rivals down the hall.
