Brooklyn Nets' Ben Simmons to Miss Wednesday's Game Against Boston Celtics

The Brooklyn Nets will be without Ben Simmons for at least another game. The three-time All Star will miss Wednesday's matchup with Boston Celtics with left knee soreness.

Simmons has missed the past two games after playing less than 20 minutes in the Nets' 130-122 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Pistons on January 26th. He missed all three of his field goal attempts and was held scoreless but pitched in seven assists and one rebound.

Simmons has appeared in 37 of a possible 50 games this season after missing all of 2021-22 with some combination of a back injury and a holdout. He has yet to re-establish himself as the scoring/playmaking threat that made him an All Star: he's averaging 7.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game.

Following Wednesday's matchup with the Celtics, the Nets host the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.
