NBA Rumors: Insider Links Knicks To Utah Guard

The New York Knicks have been working the phones leading up to the trade deadline, checking in on pretty much every player that's on the market. One name that yet another insider is connecting them to is Utah Jazz guard Malik Beasley.

NBA Insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports mentioned the Knicks' interest on his Please Don't Aggregate This podcast on Wednesday.

One name that I'm confident in saying publicly that I heard the Knicks have interest in—in a lower tier behind OG [Anunoby]—has been Malik Beasley...
I think the Knicks kinda have their hands in a lot of different cookie jars... But that's a substantive thing that I've heard.

Derrick Rose is a name he says would "definitely" be put into such a package.

This isn't the first time New York has been linked to Beasley during the run-up to the trade deadline. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype told us earlier this week that the Knicks have "kept tabs on Beasley", but that the Jazz are reportedly looking for "the equivalent of a first-round pick."

Beasley, 26, is in his 7th season in the NBA, and is averaging 13.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 36.2% from three with the Jazz this year. The 6'4" guard has career marks of 10.8 points per game, 2.6 rebounds and 38.1% from downtown.
