NBA Rumors: Wizards' Guard Looking For Change of Scenery; 2 Teams Rumored

One player who's been flying under the radar at this year's trade deadline is the 11-year veteran of the Washington Wizards who's become a forgotten man. NBA Insider Chris Haynes informs us that Will Barton is ready for a change.

Washington Wizards guard Will Barton is open to a change of scenery, league sources tell Bleacher Report, after the veteran has fallen out of head coach Wes Unseld Jr's rotation.

"He is somebody who feels like it's time to make a change, as it hasn't worked out going home to his hometown of DC. For some reason, he just hasn't been able to stick in the rotation. He feels he's still the player he was, and could still be a prominent player in a reserve role... and he would like to play on a contending team."

Haynes then dropped the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets as teams that could pursue him.

For seven straight seasons with the Denver Nuggets before arriving in Washington this year, Barton had averaged about 30 minutes per game, between 13 and 14 points per contest, around five rebounds and three-and-a-half assists, while shooting about 37% from three-point range. But he's only managed to get into about 19 minutes per contest this season with the Wizards.

The 32-year-old still feels he can contribute, and there's no reason to doubt him.
