OKC Thunder Sign Guard To Two-Year Contract

In his second year on a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, undrafted 25-year-old guard Lindy Waters III can breathe a little easier now, with a standard two-year contract.

The deal is worth $3.8M, per NBA Insider Shams Charania, and has a team option for the second season.

Waters is averaging 4.4 points in 11 minutes per game, while hitting on 37% of his 3-point attempts. He got a bit more run last season in OKC, averaging 8.0 points in 18.6 minutes per contest.

On Sunday, Waters played for the G League's Oklahoma City Blue during the day, then showed up for the Thunder at night and scored 12 points off the bench in just 17 minutes.

In 11 regular season games with the Blue this season, the 6'6" Waters is averaging 18.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists, while shooting 39.3% from distance. Last season with G League team, he shot the lights out from long range, hitting on 48.8% of his threes.
