Portland Trail Blazers' Dame Lillard Drops Triple-Double in Win Over Golden State Warriors

The Portland Trail Blazers outdueled the Golden State Warriors for a 125-122 win on Wednesday night, thanks to a rare performance from their talismanic superstar. Damian Lillard recorded the second triple-double of his career, logging 33 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, and one steal.

It was a tough shooting night for Lillard, who hit only eight of his 21 field goal attempts and one of his seven deep shots. However, Lillard persisted, forcing his way to the line for 16 free throw attempts and sinking all of them. It was Lillard's 22nd 30+ point game of the season, and it continued his hot streak; over his past 15 games, he's averaged a colossal 37.3 points per game with a .510 field goal percentage.

The win lifted the Trail Blazers to 27-28 and 10th in the Western Conference, which positions them for a spot in the play-in tournament. They also recently acquired Cam Reddish, who could bring an x-factor to the team over the closing stretch of the season. Ultimately, the fate of the team will rest with just how long Lillard can sustain his incredible current level of play: he's averaging career-highs in points per game (30.9) and true shooting percentage (.643).
