Report: 3-Time NBA Champ Signs With Cleveland Cavaliers

The buyout market is a busy place this weekend, as players are finding new homes after having their contracts bought out by their former teams. For three-time NBA champion Danny Green, his buyout from Memphis has led him to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Green has now finalized an agreement with the Eastern Conference contender. The Cavs made no moves at the trade deadline last week, but had been scouring the market for another solid 3-and-D wing.

Green, 35, provides strong defense on the perimeter, and a wealth of playoff experience, having won NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers. In addition, he's a career 40% shooter from behind the three-point arc.

This season, Green spent most of the year recovering from offseason surgery on ACL and LCL tears he suffered during last year's playoffs with the Philadelphia 76ers. He'd only come back earlier this month and played just three games for Memphis.
