Utah Jazz Sign Former No. 5 Overall Pick

It's been a busy day for the Utah Jazz, signing their second guard of the day, inking six-year veteran, and the former No. 5 overall pick in the NBA Draft (2016), Kris Dunn.

It's a 10-day contract for Dunn, who joins Frank Johnson as the newest additions to the Jazz backcourt.

Dunn, 28, was an unsigned free agent this season, spending the year with the Capital City Go-Go of the G League. In 13 games there, Dunn averaged 13.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest.

Dunn last played in the NBA last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, but only got into 14 games. He was the No. 5 overall pick in 2016 by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he hasn't lived up to the potential.

The peak of his career came in his second season, in his debut with the Chicago Bulls, when he posted 13.4 points, 6.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 52 games, 43 of them starts.

Jazz All-Star Lauri Markkanen apparently remembers those days, posting pictures today on his IG Story of him and Dunn together from their time with the Bulls.
