Luka Doncic And Devin Booker Rivalry Reignited

The NBA is full of rivalries that many fans enjoy watching. Lately, it has been a pair of young superstars in the league. Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic and Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker reignited a rivalry that stems from last season.

Doncic and Booker sparked a rivalry last year in the post-season. The Suns were up 3-2 in the Western Conference Semi-finals that included a blowout game five win 110-80. Booker chose to talk trash to Doncic which seemingly revived the Slovenian. The Mavericks won the next two games and dominated the seventh and deciding game. Thereafter, Doncic decided to dish out some trash talk to Booker.

Fast forward to the game in Dallas on March 5th where Doncic had an opportunity to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. He missed a floater and Booker was in the frame to spew some comments toward a ref that bothered Doncic. They came face to face and Luka allegedly told Booker to "Shut the f**k up!"

In the post-game, both Booker and Doncic were asked to comment on what happened at the end of the game. Doncic simply said that it was "all good, next time, just don't wait until there's three seconds left."

Meanwhile, Booker embraced the fact that there was some rift between the two. He mentioned that he does not have issues "with Luka on or off the court, but when we're competing, we're competing." Booker also directed comments to the media saying, "you guys say you don't want everybody to be friendly-friendly, there you go, we got some smoke."

The new-look Suns were led by Kevin Durant who scored 37 points and had the go-ahead jump shot with 12 seconds left in the game. Booker poured in 36 points, while Doncic had 34 points. It is safe to say that these two teams are reigniting a rivalry and Booker and Doncic are in the middle of it.
