Shaq Joins The Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers have added Shaq to their lineup. Yes, that's right. According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Blazers have signed Shaq Harrison to a 10-day contract. Which Shaq did you think it was?

The five-year veteran guard hasn't played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season, when he only played in two games for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Blazers' injury list continues to grow, as they have 10 players hobbled right now, leading to the need for another fresh body to finish out the season.

As noted by Blazers beat writer Sean Highkin, the signing is a medical hardship exception.

Harrison, 29, has spent his season in the G League with the South Bay Lakers, where he's averaged 13.6 points, 6.2 boards, 8.3 assists and 2.1 steals.

After going undrafted out of Tulsa in 2016, Harrison has tried his hand in the NBA with the Phoenix SunsChicago BullsUtah JazzDenver Nuggets as well as the Nets. He's averaged  5.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal in about 15 minutes per game.
