NBA Rumors: Knicks Free Agent-To-Be In High Demand

The New York Knicks continue their battle in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals with the Miami Heat, but rumors are already swirling about one of their key free agents this season.

According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, Josh Hart is in high demand.
Stein writes that Hart is "generating no shortage of chatter approaching free agency [but] I have yet to encounter a single team that believes Hart will be gettable."

The 6'5" wing has been everything the Knicks had hoped for when they acquired him from the Portland Trail Blazers at the trade deadline, are they are seen as the prohibitive favorites to re-sign him this summer. In fact, Stein says his re-signing with the Knickerbockers is "inevitable."

In 25 games on Broadway to finish the regular season, Hart averaged 10.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists, while shooting threes at an incredible 52% clip. and playing strong defense. In the playoffs, he's even turned it up a notch, averaging 12 points and nine rebounds.

In the meantime, with the Knicks trailing the Heat 2-1 in their second-round series, his focus at the moment is solely on getting New York back on track.
