Shocking NBA Rumor Has Joel Embiid On Radar Of Eastern Rival

'The Process' is complete. And it was a failure. The latest Philadelphia 76ers playoff flop has the rumor mill chugging at high-octane speed for the Sixers, and according to one shocking rumor, MVP Joel Embiid could be on his way to the New York Knicks.

Knicks beat writer Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports that he's  "been told since midseason that Joel Embiid is the guy to watch for the Knicks, and Philly's playoff flameout only intensified that belief."

The Sixers are in disarray already this offseason, with head coach Doc Rivers having been fired, and rumors of James Harden's imminent departure running hot.

The sight of Embiid's disappointment after the Sixers' playoff eliminations year after year has come to be depressing, even for non-Philly fans. It might very well be time for a fresh start for the 2022-23 NBA MVP.

The Sixers have tried everything to build a title contender around Embiid over the last several years, but thanks to such things as the implosion of Ben Simmons and the playoff failures of Harden, 'the process' keeps coming up short.

The Knicks are a team on the rise, with Jalen Brunson rejuvenating the franchise, and adding a center like Embiid could be the big blockbuster move that takes them to the promised land.

This will be a very interesting storyline to watch this summer.
