BREAKING: Bradley Beal & Wizards Ready For Trade, 2 Prominent Suitors Emerge

Breaking new developments in the Nation's Capital today point to Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards set to work on a deal to trade him to a team of his choice.

NBA Insider Shams Charania indicates that Beal and the Wiz "will work together" to find a trade "if the team team elects to reset the roster in the near future."

Considering that the team is also said today to be making it known that they are looking to move up into the top 3 of the draft next week, that certainly sounds like a "reset" and it's definitely "the near future". Beal's days in DC are clearly numbered.

The Charlotte Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers own the Nos. 2 and 3 picks, respectively, in next week's NBA Draft, so the talks should start with them, although it's likely that Beal would then be routed to a contending team of his choice.

Already, one prominent team has emerged as a strong favorite to land the three-time All-Star.

One problem the Miami Heat showed as they came up short in the NBA Finals is the lack of another big-time scoring threat outside of Jimmy Butler. Beal would certainly solve that issue (if he can stay on the floor... he's only played an average of 51 games per season over the last four years).

Charania also reports that the Milwaukee Bucks will be a prominent suitor as well.

The New York Knicks have been mentioned as a team that considered trying to swing a deal for Beal at the trade deadline this past season, so they, too, would be a team of interest.

Beal does have a no-trade clause, so he'll only approve a trade if it's to a location he desires. The other big hurdle before a deal is consummated is the fact he's still due to make $200M over the next four years.
