NBA Rumors: Washington Wizards Star Looking To Get Paid In Free Agency

Despite adding two solid talents in Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis around Bradley Beal, the Washington Wizards have struggled to contend for a playoff position in a number of years, and now, it appears the team is going to be unrecognizable next season.

The Wizards have already traded Beal, reportedly have a deal on the table for Porzingis, and now, Kuzma is opting out of his deal to become a free agent, and after a career year in 2022-23, the former Laker is looking to get paid in a big way amongst a very poor free agent class.

Reportedly, Kuzma is seeking a contract valued at $30 million or more per season in free agency, and given the lack of depth at the forward position on the market this off-season, that's not unrealistic after he averaged a career high 21.2 PPG along with 7.2 RPG in 2022-23.
