BREAKING: Damian Lillard Finally Decides on His Future In Portland

And so it has finally come to pass. After years of speculation, seemingly coming to a head over the past few weeks, Damian Lillard has officially requested a trade out of Portland.

The Portland Trail Blazers are said to be working with Dame on a deal to a location of his liking. According to Shams Charania, he specifically wants to go to the Eastern Conference. And the Miami Heat seem to be his preferred destination. 

Interestingly, late last night, the Heat cleared $9M+ from their books with a trade. We'll see if that was an indication of something brewing in this regard. 

The Philadelphia 76ers, in the middle of their own upheaval thanks to James Harden, are another team linked to Lillard, and that could explain why news emerged yesterday that they would not be signing Tyrese Maxey to a huge extension this summer, needing the cap space for something else.
