Isaiah Thomas Making Move To Land NBA Job This Week

After failing to land a job in the NBA all of last season, former two-time All-Star and beloved guard Isaiah Thomas will be giving it another shot in Las Vegas this week, holding a private workout for a number of NBA teams.

Thomas last played in the 2021-22 season for three different teams, the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets. He performed admirably in a minimal bench role at each stop, but wasn't granted an opportunity by any NBA teams this past season.

The 5'9" guard was the very last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and went on to defy the odds, becoming an All-Star in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons with the Boston Celtics, averaging 25 points a game over that span. But a significant hip injury derailed his career from there.

I.T. has now played for a full one-third of the league (10 teams), in his attempts to re-establish himself as an NBA guard. He's taken part in just 77 games over the past five years.

At age 34, he remains determined to make his way back to the Association, and his workout for "multiple" yet-to-be-named NBA teams will take place on Monday in Vegas.
