Los Angeles Lakers Young Star With Shocking Revelation About His Draft Experience

 

The Los Angeles Lakers had another fantastic campaign in 2022-23, and while a lot of attention is paid to the star duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, it was the breakout year of Austin Reaves that caught the attention of the entire NBA landscape.

There were then rumours that Reaves could potentially leave the team in free agency, but now Reaves himself has revealed that he passed up on being drafted by a certain team so he could sign with the Lakers as an un-drafted free agent. 

Austin Reaves bet on himself by choosing to go undrafted.

That team was the Detroit Pistons, who revealed reportedly declined to be drafted by back in 2021, and while it may not have happened immediately, he's now breaking out as a potential star in the NBA, so it's safe to say that betting on himself worked in a big way here.
