NBA Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Young Player Expected To Take Over Starting Role In 2023

The Cleveland Cavaliers young core led them to a very successful season in 2022-23, but come playoff time, the duo of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the front court weren't able to slow down the New York Knicks, with some changes potentially on the way.

Now, the reported league wide belief is that Mobley will become the teams full-time center going forward,  and with so many expensive players on the roster, it could result in the team moving one or two pieces, likely Allen in this case.

The 22-year old is heading into his third season at the NBA level after two great campaigns thus far, averaging 15.6 PPG along with 8.7 RPG and 2.7 APG, and if he can take over the full-time role, he will no doubt continue establishing himself as one of the best big men in the NBA.
