NBA Rumors: New York Knicks Strongly Considering Extension For Young Star

The New York Knicks took a major step forward in 2022-23, seeing fantastic performances from Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson all season long, but it was Immanuel Quickley's spark off the bench that played just as big a role in their successful season.

After the 24-year old's massive leap that saw him finish as a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year, the Knicks now have a big decision to make on his future, and according to a report, there are many in the organization that are considering signing him to an extension worth up to $20 million per year.

In 81 games this past season, IQ averaged a career high 14.9 PPG to go along with 4.2 RPG and 3.4 APG, and with his likeable personality, infectious energy and skill on both sides of the ball, it makes sense for New York to long him down long term.
