Report: Orlando Magic Waive Young Big Man

The Orlando Magic have quietly been building one of the best young cores in the NBA in recent years, and while they're still a long way from being competitive in a tough Eastern Conference, there's plenty of positives for a team that's struggled for a number of years.

One wild card for this team has been the incredibly popular and talented Bol Bol, who has yet to break out into a star in the NBA, and on Tuesday, the team made the surprising decision to cut the 23-year old who joined Orlando just last season.

In 70 games with the Magic, Bol Bol averaged a career high 9.1 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 1.0 APG, and while playing 21.5 MPG, and with his talent and athleticism, he can no doubt be a key bench piece for a contender going forward.
