76ers Source Says Embiid "Gonna Get Fed Up" With Harden Drama

The James Harden Drama is exacting a toll on Philadelphia 76ers fans, no doubt. But according to a Sixers source, it could also be taking a toll on the most important member of the organization: MVP Joel Embiid.

Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com says a team source told him that things could get a lot uglier in Philly, soon.

“I think there’s another domino that might fall here before long if this stuff keeps going,” the source said.

Asked to elaborate, he said, “Well, the big fella. Eventually he’s gonna get fed up with this.”

Just last week, in fact, we heard from plugged-in Yahoo Sports NBA writer Vince Goodwill that two teams are already "circling".

“Everyone’s circling, waiting. The Knicks and Miami are keeping an eye on everything going on,” said Goodwill. He added that many around the league feel that Embiid "will ask out sooner than later."

In his seven years with the Sixers, Embiid has never been able to make it past the second round of the playoffs, and after going through this identical drama once before with Ben Simmons, and now again with Harden, it's quite feasible that he will indeed get "fed up".

Bulpett's Sixers source told him that Embiid has to think about his personal legacy, and without winning, it won't be complete. “There’s a lot of truth to that. But the guy is a legit major force in this league, and there ain’t too many of those."
