Knicks Rumors: Blockbuster Offer On Table For Joel Embiid

Could this be getting serious? We've heard the rumblings of the New York Knicks' interest in Joel Embiid, should the Philadelphia 76ers ever decide to trade him. But now, instead of waiting, there's a report from an inside source in Philly that the Knicks are ready and willing to offer a blockbuster 3-player package + picks for the reigning MVP:

"The New York Knicks are willing to offer a package that includes three key players, with Julius Randle, R.J. Barrett, Evan Fournier and Mitchell Robinson all available in exchange for Joel Embiid, according to sources. A trio from that group would be paired with two or three first-round picks," writes Keith Pompey.

"Joel Embiid loves Philly. But he could love it from a distance if the James Harden saga ends poorly."

Pompey re-iterates what we've heard before, that the Knicks are "closely monitoring the situation" with Harden's holdout, and Embiid's happiness in Philly.

So while Harden parties it up in Houston (or whatever he's up to these days) as the Sixers get set to open the regular season this week, the clock on Joel Embiid's patience (and the Knicks' anticipation) continues to tick.
