Young San Antonio Spurs Forward Signs Massive Extension

The San Antonio Spurs won the lottery this past summer when they landed the No. 1 overall pick and Victor Wembanyama in the 2023 NBA Draft, and now, they're locking up another key piece of their future core.

According to a report, Devin Vassell, who was the Spurs first-round pick back in the 2020 NBA Draft has now inked a contract extension over five-years at $146 million, and with Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan alongside them, this looks like a promising young team.

Vassell has improved each and every year that he's been in the NBA, with 2022-23 being his best campaign, averaging 18.5 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 3.6 APG in a career high 31 minutes a game, and now, it's clear he's going to be a major part of the turnaround in San Antonio.
