Phoenix Suns Announce Disappointing Bradley Beal News

Now who could have seen this one coming? Bradley Beal, the Phoenix Suns' big offseason addition, has played a grand total of three games thus far, and is now set to miss at least three more weeks.

According to Shams Charania, Beal will have his lower back strain re-evaluated in three weeks, and see where they go from there.

None of this should come as much of a surprise to the Suns or their fans, as Beal has missed 111 games in the previous four seasons, and now eight of 11 this year, with many more to come.

The 30-year-old three-time All-Star was expected to team up with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to give the Suns a formidable 'Big 3' this season and lead them to the promised land. But they'll have to stay on the court together first.

The three have yet to play in a game together, and now the wait will continue until well into December at least.

Booker, 27, the Suns' leading scorer for the last six years, has also played in just three games thus far.

Beal, who has four seasons and $206M remaining on his contract (including this year), has averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his trio of appearances with the Suns, in about 28 minutes per night.

Ironically, it's been 35-year-old KD who has been the iron man for Phoenix, playing in all 11 games after not playing more than 55 games in any of the last four seasons.

The Suns are 5-6 in their first 11 games, which has them tied for 9th/10th in the Western Conference.
