Report: Zack LaVine Picks Preferred Trade Destination

In the on-again, off-again Zach LaVine trade market, several teams have been mentioned as possible destinations. But of the most likely teams, it now sounds like LaVine is looking for a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The report by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times states:

The Bulls have been linked to the Lakers and (Toronto) Raptors in the rumor mill, but multiple sources said LaVine and his representation obviously want Los Angeles because of the Klutch Sports connection.

Because of LaVine's $40M salary, the Lakers' return package would likely have to begin with point guard D'Angelo Russell and his $17M — and certainly point guard is a position the Bulls could use to fortify, what with Lonzo Ball missing his second consecutive full season.

Other names that could build out a package from LA include a number of players who become trade eligible as of Friday (Dec. 15th): Jaxson Hayes, Taurean Prince, Cam Reddish, Gabe Vincent and Christian Wood.

The trade deadline is less than two months away.
