Breaking: Pascal Siakam Traded In Blockbuster Deal

He was the last remaining contributor—and a very significant one, at that—to the Toronto Raptors 2019 NBA Championship. Now Pascal Siakam is a member of the Indiana Pacers.

In the blockbuster deal agreed to on Wednesday, Toronto receives Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks from Indiana, while Kira Lewis also heads to the Raptors, via the New Orleans Pelicans.

Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He'll make a dynamic threat next to Tyrese Haliburton for the Pacers. Per Adrian Wojnarowski, Siakam is excited about the trade, and is "eager" to work out a new deal with them in the summer.

Brown is a prime candidate now to be re-routed to another team in a subsequent deal. He has a club option for $22M next season.

This all comes moments after a report dropped that Siakam was "heartbroken" by the dissolution of the relationship with the Raptors.
