NBA Rumors: Insider Lists 4 Trade Targets Of Interest To Milwaukee Bucks

With the NBA trade deadline just over two weeks away, one contender that knows they need to make a big move is the Milwaukee Bucks. NBA Insider Chris Haynes says the Bucks "are being very aggressive out there… Working the phones, seeing what’s available out there.”

Since losing Jrue Holiday in the Damian Lillard trade, the Bucks defense has been lacking. Haynes says, in particular, they're looking for a point-of-attack defender on the perimeter, and he lists four trade targets in particular that they're interested in:

Bruce Brown

Brown has championship pedigree, having been a key component of the Denver Nuggets’ run to the NBA title in 2023. Now, with the Toronto Raptors, it seems almost certain that he’ll be traded at the deadline, but Masai Ujiri has apparently set a very high price for Brown. He is averaging 12 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, along with 1.1 steals per game.

Alex Caruso

Chicago Bulls defensive dynamo Caruso is very much in demand at this time of year, like Brown. Caruso also has another season remaining on a very friendly $9.8 million contract, which is only guaranteed at $3 million. He’s averaging 9.8 points, 3.5 boards, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals.

Dorian Finney-Smith

The Brooklyn Nets 3-and-D forward is shooting 38.6% from long range, while averaging nine points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists. He also has a team friendly deal with another season plus an option year remaining at just over $14 million per year.

Matisse Thybulle

Always known as a great defender on the perimeter, Thybulle has even upgraded his three-point shooting since getting to Portland, this year hitting on 36.6% of his attempts. On the defensive end, he has 1.6 steals per game.

The problem for Milwaukee with any of these potential trade targets is that the Bucks don’t have a lot of assets to deal.
