Trae Young Trade Destination Listed By Unlikely Source

Could it be that Trae Young has played his last game with the Atlanta Hawks? He's out for at least a month, and likely longer, and there's been all sorts of talk about a potential blockbuster trade this coming summer sending him out of the ATL.

And while several teams have been mentioned as suitors, including the Los Angeles Lakers, an unlikely source has called for a Trae trade to an interesting destination:

"I hope he's played his last game in Atlanta," says former 4-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins. "His prime is being wasted.

"Fingers crossed, (he gets dealt to) the San Antonio Spurs... It's a match made in heaven, it just makes sense... Please send Trae Young to San Antonio! I need this to happen for basketball."

Naturally, seeing the explosive 6'1" point guard paired up with 7'4" unicorn Victor Wembanyama would certainly be a sight to see, and Boogie knows it. In fact, according to one NBA writer, the Hawks did actually discuss a trade with the Spurs before the trade deadline earlier this month. And Marc Stein adds that the Hawks "know" they must trade either Young or his backcourt mate Dejounte Murray this summer, with other insiders claiming it's Trae who will be dealt.

It should be another soap opera summer in the NBA.
