NBA Trade Rumors: 2 New Big-Name Teams Linked to Paul George Trade
The Summer of (Paul) George continues to make headlines, as his status with the Los Angeles Clippers continues to look more and more cloudy.
With the rift between the two sides appearing to be growing, two new big-name teams have surfaced as potential suitors for PG. We begin on the West Coast.

Insider Brett Siegel says, “Keep a very close eye on the (Golden State) Warriors regarding Paul George if Klay Thompson is to leave.”
Now, Thompson status with the Dubs is even sketchier at this point than George's with the Clips, as we reported over the weekend. That would certainly leave a gaping hole next to Steph Curry as to who would be his running mate.
Interestingly, social media sleuths have noticed that PG is now following two pretty important members of the Warriors on Instagram.

The Warriors have a $30M option on Chris Paul that could somehow come into play in all this, by using that contract as part of a trade... perhaps as part of a Paul George deal?
Out East, the New York Knicks have been linked to the possibility of pursuing George as well.

If George opts into this $48.8M contract for this coming season, the Knicks would be a "potential trade suitor," according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
How that might affect the Knicks' attempts to re-sign free agent OG Anunoby remains to be seen.
Lots of dominos to fall after the Paul George situation shakes out with the Clippers. He's eligible for an expensive extension, but so far it doesn't seem that the team is anxious to give it to him. He can opt out and become a free agent as of July 1st.
