NBA Trade Rumors: 3 Teams That Timberwolves Could Flip Julius Randle To

Julius Randle's contract remains eminently tradeable, even after he was already dealt to the Minnesota Timberwolves by the New York Knicks.

Some are wondering if the T-Wolves aren't finished making moves yet, and could even be considering flipping Randle in another trade.

Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report suggests three teams that make sense for Minnesota to trade Randle to.

Miami Heat

The proposed deal here would see youngster Nikola Jović, plus veterans Terry Rozier and Thomas Bryant going to Minny in return for Randle.

The Heat are in win-now mode with Jimmy Butler potentially in his final season in South Beach (player option after the year), so adding Randle and his 24 points per game would be a big get.

On Minnesota's side, Jovic hit on 40% of his threes last season, and would be a nice floor-spacer to add to the lineup to help free up Anthony Edwards.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clips would send Norman Powell, Nicolas Batum and a 2031 top-10 protected first-round pick to Minny for Randle in this proposed trade. The deal reunites Frenchmen Batum and Gobert, while once again adding floor spacing to the T-Wolves' attack.

On the Clips' side, Randle and his volume scoring helps as an insurance policy for when Kawhi Leonard is inevitably out of the lineup for long stretches, or for when James Harden has those off-nights offensively. However, there might not be enough ball to go around for Harden, Kawhi and Randle when all three are on the floor.

San Antonio Spurs

How about a beast forward to take a lot of the scoring load and pressure off Victor Wembanyama? Plus, with Wemby and Devin Vassell able to hit threes, Randle would have more room to operate and do his thing.

Bailey proposes sending Harrison Barnes and Jeremy Sochan to Minnesota in return, and once again, the former is a floor spacer to help Edwards, while Sochan can offer a lot of versatility at a number of spots on the floor for the Wolves.

It's all just speculation, but who knows if Minnesota is Randle's final destination?
